Committees

AIA-GBCA Joint Committee - These two groups have a good working relationship going back 50 years. They routinely meet on matters of joint concern.

Affiliate Member Council – The GBCA Affiliate Member Council aims to capitalize on the knowledge, information, and manpower resources provided by the association’s Affiliate Member companies to help the association realize its charge and contribute to the health and profitability of the construction industry.

Associate Member Executive - The purpose of the GBCA Associate Member Executive Committee is to provide services to the associate members that they can’t provide for themselves, which other trade groups aren’t designed to provide.

Concrete Construction – Aims to promote the use of poured-in-place concrete in construction.

Education - Since the 1960s the GBCA has provided educational opportunities to employees of member firms in the form of courses and seminars.

Equal Business Access – This committee’s goal is to provide support and resources to minority and women owned businesses to enable them to become more competitive in both the public and private sectors.

Executive – Is made up of the officers of the association and the immediate past Chairman of the Board. Along with the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee oversees the goals and budget of the association.

Governmental Affairs – This committee monitors and acts on legislative matters pertaining to the construction industry in City, State and National politics.

Labor Policy – This committee works to maintain a constructive relationship with the basic trade unions in the Philadelphia 5-county area.

Safety – The Safety Committee oversees OSHA citation handling, jobsite training, consultation, seminars, the OSHA Update and other valuable resources.

Young Constructors Task Force – Exists for the purpose of bringing the young leaders of the industry together to tackle issues of mutual concern.
